Totally Quenched and Drenched Facial by Temple Spa

Hello again! Welcome to my autumn blog. Autumn is my favourite time of year when I start cosying up in the evenings with a good book and a mug of hot chocolate. And of course Strictly is back on our screens! At this time of year I also switch up my skincare regime and treat myself to a pampering facial.
Even though we had a glorious summer, at the end of it all skin can be congested, sensitive and very dehydrated due to the wrong sunscreen being used and over exposure to the sun. Did you know there is a difference between dry and dehydrated skin? Dry skin presents as uncomfortable, flaky and patchy whereas dehydrated skin presents as ‘dehydration lines’, commonly on cheeks, around eyes and lips. Contributing factors to dehydrated skin are not drinking enough water, air conditioning, central heating, a bad diet, hot or cold weather, stress and an inadequate skincare routine.

That’s why in the autumn I add a few products to my skincare routine. I will be using Quench Mask by Temple Spa once a week to rejuvenate and feed the skin with avocado, red pepper and blackberry and apple. I also start using a more nutritious night treatment. Temple Spa’s It’s All Good is a nutritious skin oil containing peach kernel, watermelon seed, vitamin E and orange which restore and nourish the skin overnight.

Quench Rejunenating Mask - A creamy anti-ageing face mask that’s intensely hydrating, moisturising and skin brightening.

£28 | 65ml

It's All Good Nutritious Oil - A professional strength restorative facial oil for rescue from lacklustre, ageing, dry or irritated skin conditions.

£30 | 30 ml

My salon treatment of choice at this time of year is the Totally Quenched and Drenched facial, a rehydrating facial for thirsty and neglected skin. Temple Spa describe it as:
“The ultimate in anti-ageing, this lavish facial is a must for dehydrated or neglected skin and is designed to leave it looking radiant and fresh. Combining powerful antioxidants to help fight the ageing process and loss of elasticity in the skin, this divine treatment includes a cryogenic mask which gives a cooling effect and aids the infusion of the goodness of the mask. It also includes our intense eye therapy and eye massage with a rather special secret remedy to encourage deep hydration and eliminate fine lines. And if that isn’t enough, we also use lifting massage techniques and lymph drainage. You could call it a facial iron!”

I absolutely love this facial because we use the Big Reveal, a gentle skin peel which leaves the skin bright and smooth, and a cooling cryogenic mask that pushes the Quench mask deep into the skin. It is so cooling on my sensitive skin and leaves it feeling really soft and rejuvinated. I would definitely recommend this facial for a real after summer, rehydrating treat. But don't keep this to yourself! Why not bring a friend for an extra special treat for two.

It's time to act, don't put off feeling fantastic any longer!
